3 New Members Named to Board of Trustees at UArts

The University of the Arts has named Howard Belk BFA '81 (Graphic Design) [left], Jeffrey R. Seligsohn [center] and Laurie Wagman [right] to its Board of Trustees.
Belk, a UArts alumnus, is co-president, CEO and CCO of Siegel+Gale, a global strategic branding firm committed to building world-class brands through elegantly simple, unexpectedly fresh strategies, stories and experiences. A prominent figure in the industry, he has led global branding programs in every sector. His work includes programs for Pfizer, American Express, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Qatar Telecom, AARP and more. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at UArts and has also served as a guest lecturer.
Seligsohn is a founding partner of SSH Real Estate, one of the largest full-service commercial real estate firms in the Philadelphia region. During his 20 years in the real estate industry, he has grown SSH to a 75-person firm offering brokerage, management and investment services. Seligsohn has represented both for-profit industry leaders as well as leading non-profit clients such as Health Partners, Children's Crisis Treatment Centers and the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging. He also serves as a Corporate Council member for JEVS Human Services and a board member of Temple Adath Israel in Lower Merion. Seligsohn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
Wagman is the founder and chairman of American Theater for Youth, Inc. (ATAFY), an educational organization that presents professional theater to school students as an extension of classroom curriculum. For more than four decades, youth nationwide have benefited from her contribution to education. Last year alone, more than 600,000 students came to ATAFY productions. Wagman has received several awards for her achievements on behalf of young people, including citations from the City of Philadelphia and the Freedoms Foundation.
