Theater Alums Top Winners List for BroadwayWorld Philadelphia Awards

Ahren Potratz BFA '01 (Theater) and Paul Felder BFA '08 (Acting) among 2012 winners

Alumni from the University's Ira Brind School of Theater Arts topped the list of winners for the 2012 BroadwayWorld Philadelphia Awards, announced by BroadwayWorld.com, the No. 1 website for Broadway, theater and live entertainment around the world.

Winners included Ahren Potratz BFA '01 (Theater), named Best Actor in a Play for "Woman and Scarecrow" at the Villanova Theatre, and Paul Felder BFA '08 (Acting), who took home the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Play for his role in "Reasons to be Pretty" at Philadelphia Theatre Company.

The award for Best New Work went to Arden Theatre Company's "Tulipomania," whose cast featured alumni Billy Bustamante BFA '04 (Musical Theater), Ben Dibble BFA '00 (Musical Theater) and Alex Keiper BFA '07 (Musical Theater), and whose assistant music director was Ryan Touhey BFA '09 (Musical Theater).
