Flying Dragons, Water Sound and a Surreal Ceremony On Tap at 'Image and Performance' Concert
Interdisciplinary performance art show takes place May 7 at the Dance Theater at the Drake

Prepare to witness flying dragons, a water sound piece and a surreal ceremony at the spring 2012 "Image and Performance" concert, being held May 7 at the Dance Theater at the Drake. Staged each semester by students in Master Lecturer Kathy Rose's Image and Performance class, this interdisciplinary performance art show integrates live performance with video, costumes and lights.

Participating students from the University's Dance, Theater, Film, Visual Arts and Design programs include Amanda Boxer '12 (Multimedia), Andrew Compaine '12 (Multimedia), Francis Cota '12 (Film), Leighann Hoffman '12 (Multidisciplinary Fine Arts), Alice Kielmanski '12 (Crafts: Fibers), Meghan Leskanic '12 (Multidisciplinary Fine Arts), Tara McFarlane '14 (Photography), Curtis Nouchi '12 (Crafts: Fibers), K.C. Raven '12 (Animation), Daniella Sansotta '12 (Film/Video), Stephanie Stevens '12 (Dance), Stephanie Young '12 (Painting/Drawing), Jordan Aquilera '14 (Film), Rachel Lancaster '12 (Acting), Anthony Martinez-Briggs '13 (Acting), Samantha Matson '15 (Theater Design and Technology) and Canadian exchange student Matt Moreland (Photography).

Rose directs the concert, which is free and open to the public.
