Call for Alumni Work
Alumni and Parent Relations' newly renovated office to include gallery space that celebrates the accomplishments of our alumni
October 3, 2011
Alumni and Parent Relations recently renovated its office to include gallery space that celebrates the accomplishments of our alumni.
The alumni gallery will let students, staff, faculty and fellow alumni who visit the office appreciate the work of UArts graduates. The gallery will be curated by a UArts student on a quarterly basis, around a theme of their choosing. Alumni of all years, degrees and programs are invited to submit their work.
The first curator is Paul Winter BFA '13 (Painting) and the theme is "The Subject of Space." Works chosen for the exhibit will center around ideas of intimate space, interior and exterior space, our relationship with space, and how space changes over time. The juxtaposition of works dealing with different kinds of space and the manner in which the space is rendered or expressed in each artwork ought to give the show a sensational experience - one that makes the audience aware of their location, surroundings and living environment.
Due to space limitations, we can only accept work that can be hung or mounted on a wall. If interested, please email images of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 31.
