The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia Presents Jazz Flutist Jamie Baum and Her Septet

The April 30 event is co-sponsored by the University of the Arts and Altus Flutes

The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia will present jazz flutist Jamie Baum and her septet on Saturday, April 30 in the Caplan Recital Hall on the 17th floor of Terra Hall (211 South Broad Street) at the University of the Arts.

There will be a flute clinic at 12 p.m., "A Fear-Free Approach to Improvisation for the Classically Trained Flutist," followed by a performance at 2 p.m.

Tickets will be $10 ($7.50 students/seniors) for Flute Society members and $15 ($10 students/seniors) for non-members.

The event is co-sponsored by the University of the Arts and Altus Flutes, which will have a display of flutes available throughout the day beginning at 11 a.m.

Baum will also be conducting a workshop for University of the Arts students on Friday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in Terra Hall, Room 1703.
