In the University Libraries, artists, dancers, musicians, media makers, graduate students, and faculty come together to learn in a multi-disciplinary environment. Whether you’re a theater major studying Stanislavsky, a painter exploring Starry Night’s connection to Walt Whitman, or a screenwriter researching the Harlem Renaissance, library staff will teach you to develop your research and information skills and help you find the materials you need.

We have collections dedicated to different disciplines and in a variety of formats – print, digital (including access to numerous online databases and ireference works), picture files, videos, audio files, etc. No matter what you're researching, the libraries will give you access to the materials you need.

Albert M. Greenfield Library (Location: Anderson Hall, first floor and lower level)
The Greenfield library, the University’s main library, contains materials covering art and design, dance, theater, media arts, liberal arts, and other general subjects. Specialized collections include:
• University Archives
• Special Collections
• Book Arts
• Textile collection
• Picture File

Music Library (Location: Merriam Theater Building)
The Music Library, which serves academic programs and interests in music and musical theater, contains a music education resource center and listening facilities for recorded sound materials.

Visual Resources Collection (Location: Anderson Hall, mezzanine level)
This collection includes over 180,000 slides and a growing digital image database. These resources are available for teaching and student classroom presentations.

As part of a wireless campus, the University Libraries also offer places to do homework, e-mail family and friends, and search online resources.
