Program Registration / Applications
For many of our programs there is no "application process," only a registration procedure. This means that there are no portfolio or audition requirements for program participation, except where noted (the Musical Theater program requires a letter of recommendation and a performance resume). In all other instances, any interested students who meet the age and grade requirements and complete all forms and payments will be welcomed to register and attend the program, space permitting.
How to Register / Apply
When completing the registration form, be certain to specify the concentration, elective, workshop, or instrument where necessary. You should also select a second or third choice in case your first choice is not available.
What to include when you register
– A completed registration form
– A $100 non-refundable tuition deposit to secure a place in the class
– A $150 non-refundable Program fee
– A photocopy of proof of age (e.g., driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate)
– Musical Theater students must include a letter of recommendation and a current performance resume (see program description for details)
If you intend to live on campus, you must also submit
– A completed housing form
– A $100 non-refundable housing deposit to hold a space in the dorms
Applying for scholarships is optional. Students who wish to apply for a scholarship should read the scholarship information. Note that scholarship materials may be sent in after registration materials as long as they are received before the scholarship application deadline of April 5.
When To Register
Apply early! Space is limited in all courses, programs, and workshops. The Pre-College Summer Institute accepts registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Many programs and courses fill in advance of the deposit and scholarship deadlines, please do not delay mailing in your materials.
Registration Confirmation
Once the registration has been received, we will mail each student and their parents a packet of information regarding Summer Institute programs. Please be sure to read all materials carefully.
