Sorrow to the Stones
Conceived and directed by Leigh E. Bicica '13 (Directing, Playwriting & Production)
"Sorrow" is a devised piece that is based on the idea of human connection, and what it means to be connected and disconnected in the contemporary world. It aims to explore and examine how society deals with its triumphs and sorrows, and what its reactions say about the way people live in the world that has been built around them.

Blackface: A Play with Minstrels
Written by Haygen Brice Walker '13 (Directing, Playwriting & Production)
Directed by Adjunct Associate Professor Rosey Hay
When a hate crime happens in her hometown, Eve returns to Eden to unearth what really happened. What Eve unearths is hundreds of years of hatred and cruelty chronicled by the goddess of the minstrel Underworld, Pickamammy Coon. A mytho-poetic journey through history, myth, fantasy and memory that asks us just how easy is it to be consumed by the communal hatreds of our past.
