Parking

A special Inauguration/Alumni Reunion rate of $7.00 per car will be offered from April 16 – 19, for parking at the lot at 417 South Broad Street, just south of Gershman Hall, and at The EZ Park lot at 15th and South Streets. To receive the discounted rate, simply tell the attendant that you are attending the UArts Inauguration. In addition, there are several other independent parking lots in the area.

They include:

  • Symphony House on Broad Street between Pine and Lombard Streets
  • Under the Kimmel Center on Broad Street between Spruce and Pine Streets
  • Across from the Merriam Theater on Broad Street
  • Spruce Street between 13th and Broad Streets
  • Pine Street between 15th and 16th Streets
  • 15th Street at Sansom Street
  • 15th Street between Walnut and Locust Streets
  • 15th Street between Locust and Spruce Streets
  • At the Bellevue Hotel at Broad and Walnut Streets
  • Latimer Street between 15th and 16th Streets
  • Locust Street between 13th and Broad Streets

Directions: Car

From Baltimore, Washington DC and Points South including Philadelphia International Airport

Travel north on I-95 past Philadelphia International Airport to Broad Street/Pattison Ave. Exit. Travel north on Broad Street approximately 2.5 miles to Pine Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets. The Merriam Theater is located at 250 South Broad Street.

From Southern New Jersey and Atlantic City Area

Travel on the Atlantic City Expressway until it merges with Route 42 North. Follow signs to Walt Whitman Bridge. Cross the bridge ($3.00 toll) and exit onto Broad Street northbound. Travel north on Broad Street approximately 3 miles to Pine Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.

From New York, New Jersey and Points Northeast via NJ Turnpike

Travel south on NJ Turnpike to Exit 4. Take Route 73 North and follow signs to Route 38 West. Travel Route 38 West and follow signs for the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The exit for the bridge will take you to Route 30 West (also known as Admiral Wilson Blvd.). Cross the bridge ($3.00 toll) to the 8th Street South exit. Follow 8th Street south to Spruce Street. Turn right onto Spruce Street. Remain on Spruce Street until you reach Broad Street. Turn left onto Broad Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is one block south on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.

From the North via I-95 South in Pennsylvania

Travel on I-95 South to I-676 West. Exit at Broad Street. At City Hall, follow 15th Street to Pine Street (approx. 11 blocks). Turn left onto Pine Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is one block away, on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.

From Harrisburg and Points West

Travel east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 24. Take Route 76 East to the South Street Exit (Left Lane Exit). Make a left and cross the South Street Bridge. Travel east to Broad Street and turn left. Go two blocks north to Pine Street. Hamilton Hall will be on the left corner.

From Eastern Ontario, New York State and Northeastern Pennsylvania

Travel the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to I-476. Follow I-476 to 76 East. Take Route 76 East to the South Street Exit (Left Lane Exit). Make a left and cross the South Street Bridge. Travel east to Broad Street and turn left. Go two blocks north to Pine Street. Hamilton Hall will be on the left corner.

Directions: Train & Plane

From Southern New Jersey via PATCO High Speed Line

Exit PATCO at 12/13 Street at Locust. Pass through the turnstile; exit the concourse at the Academy of Music stairwell. Walk south on Broad Street 2 blocks to Pine Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.

From Anywhere via AMTRAK

Travel by AMTRAK to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. You may then travel by taxi cab to the University (approximately $8-10) or transfer to commuter train to the Penn Center Suburban Station. Exit station at 15th and Market Streets (at the Clothespin statue). Walk south 7 blocks to Pine Street. Turn left to Broad Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.

From Suburban Philadelphia and Philadelphia International Airport via SEPTA/Local Trains

Travel by SEPTA train to the Penn Center Suburban Station. Exit station at 15th and Market Streets (the Clothespin sculpture). Walk south 7 blocks to Pine Street. Turn left to Broad Street. The University's main building, Hamilton Hall, is on the northwest corner of Broad & Pine Streets.
