A lecture/seminar course exploring the history, organization, and development of museum exhibitions. Guest speakers from the fields of exhibition planning, design, and management will bring a wide range of knowledge and practices from their respective specialties and provide insight into professional practices. Students will develop their critical faculties by analyzing exhibition installations in area institutions. The course is intended to provide students with an overall understanding of the role exhibitions can and do play in public institutions.
