Art Ed Pioneers is proud to present: Teaching Art in the Blogosphere

Lead by professor Dr. June Julian, a group of 6 talented art educators/graduate students from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia came together to create this professional development site. It is our hope that the information contained within will help inspire you and perhaps encourage you to incorporate blogs and other resources into your classroom.

Our class was divided into two groups:
Group 1: Comprised of Jason Grant, Ellen Cohan and Erika Gehringer, took on the responsibility of researching the history of blogs in our culture, the different blog accounts and various examples of blogs used today. They also had to develop a lesson plan for grades 9-12

Group 2: Comprised of Dionne Vincent, Argie Fafalios, and Jo Ann Wright, researched the Pedagogy of Blogs, the various possibilities for Blogs (Brainstorming), a Kid Art Gallery and finally, 2 lesson plans for grades 5-8:
Part 1 and Part 2
