Continuing Inspiration:
Creativity in the Process of LearningThis course enables participants to develop the means and methods to enhance art applications and techniques for use in teaching and learning. The primary source for study is provided by experiences in studio, complemented by art history lectures, museum and gallery visits. All course materials are designed to enhance perceptual skills used in the visual arts and improve instructional strategies directly applicable to educational curriculum, in various classroom environments. Select one studio concentration area (see link above) to expand your repertoire, sharpen your techniques, and provide new material to pass along to your students. Grading is based primarily upon lesson plans and journals incorporating art concepts to classroom application, due about a week after course completion. Open to both art teachers and non-art teachers. Course meets Mon-Fri, 9am to 6pm, for a total of 45 contact hours (an itinerary will be sent to participants). 3 graduate-level credits.
