Pre-College Saturday School and Pre-College Summer Institute (For high school students)
As teens begin to explore their interests and think about college, UArts offers programs that encourage them to:

  • Discover their passions
  • Explore the arts as a tool for communication and self expression
  • Study under master educators and teaching artists
  • Enhance their skills in a variety of disciplines
  • Develop portfolios and auditions for college admissions
  • Exhibit their work or perform in public
  • Familiarize themselves with life on a college campus
  • Engage in Philadelphia’s rich art and culture
  • Gain knowledge of  the professional side of the arts

 

Saturday Arts Lab (K-8)
With vivid imaginations and boundless energy, kids are full of creative potential. These courses give young artists a diverse experience in the visual arts—they work with paint, pencil, crayon, pastel, clay and more. Our programs help kids:

  • Find their element
  • Exercise their imaginations
  • Meet other young artists and professional artists
  • Participate in shows and exhibits
  • Become familiar with a college campus
  • Become more confident in their own creative skills
