New Works by alumna Arielle Passenti BFA '12 (Painting/Drawing).
"As citizens of an urban environment, we are confronted daily by the forms and structures that surround us. Passenti's work serves as a relief of this over stimulation, as she effortlessly reduces these impacting configurations into visual representations of passing and inhabiting. Through a highly selective process of photographing, editing and reconfiguring, Passenti gives the viewer access to a fundamental sense of ease within the daily visual routine. A minimal yet honest color palette pinpoints the accuracy of these represented structures, and the choreographed shapes welcome the viewer into a new space while retaining a sense of the familiar." - Rebecca Tennenbaum
