The Jost Project + "Z" Big Band

Caplan Recital Hall

The Jōst Project is a band of talented jazz musicians who are also educators. They play, they teach and now they have invited students from UArts' "Z" Big Band to be by their side in rehearsals and performances. The Philly-based band is made up of UArts faculty members, including internationally renowned vibraphonist Tony Miceli, vocalist/harmonicist Paul Jost and bassist Kevin MacConnell (pictured left to right above). The program with UArts is a pilot for the Jōst Project who hopes to extend it to colleges throughout the country.

This collaboration features original musical arrangements written and adapted for the "Z" Big Band from songs on the group's latest CD release, Can't Find My Way Home.
