Visiting artist lecture series hosted by the Interdisciplinary Fine Arts program in the School of Art.

Chris Lawrence is a multidisciplinary artist based in Philadelphia. His work is located at an intersection of interests in sculpture, installation, architecture, drawing, design, fabrication and printmaking, and often takes the form of built environments, utilizing a wide range of materials and methods of production. Lawrence has an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and has exhibited work in New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., Portland, Ore., and Melbourne, Australia. He was an artist resident with the Delphi Foundation at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, AirSpace (Philadelphia) and Seventh Gallery (Melbourne, Australia). Chris continues to self-publish zines, prints and laser-etched editions in conjunction with his installation-based projects.
