Worlds on Stage: Theater Design & Technology Student Work

President's Office

Students in the Theater Design & Technology program have many opportunities to realize their creative visions. The Ira Brind School of Theater Arts assigns student designers and technicians to its 12+ productions each year before adding in any faculty, staff or outside professionals. If a student is ready to be the lighting designer for the mainstage show, she gets the job!

Beyond the official productions mounted by the Brind School, there are scores of dances, music concerts, student films and other shows and projects happening every year at UArts. The Design-Tech students have been involved in many of those – designing makeup, creating costumes, building scenery, and doing the lighting or sound work that contributes to good art.

The images and objects in this exhibit are student work – the students even took most of these photographs.

Interested in Design-Tech opportunities? The courses represented here are all open to UArts students without prerequisite.
