FULL-TIME CALENDAR YEAR POSITION

POSITION: Evening IT Support Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Office of Technology and Information Services

DESCRIPTION: This position reports to the Technical Services Supervisor and is responsible for recording, tracking and seeing through the resolution of campus technology issues as well as supporting evening and Saturday events and classes. This position has evening and weekend hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage evening and Saturday equipment deliveries and provide initial support to the university on all technology related matters.

• Answer phone calls 
and respond to voicemail
• Respond to emailed help requests
• Provide walk-up tech support
• Create, escalate and track tickets in Web Help Desk
• Oversee work-study students
• After hours AV classroom and event support
• Schedule and facilitate any necessary AV and computer deliveries
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Advanced experience with Mac operating systems required

• Advanced experience with Windows operating systems a plus

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software

• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

• The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with personal and sensitive data
