Career Observers Host Survey

UArts is launching an externship program called UArts Career Observers and is seeking alumni participants to host students at their workplace. An externship is a two to five day career shadowing program. The goal is to give students an introduction to different career paths and full-time work if possible. UArts' first Career Observation Week is scheduled for March 11-15, 2013, to coincide with the University's Spring Break. Students selected to be UArts Career Observers go through a rigorous application process and currently are members of the UArts chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In this pilot phase of the program, we are seeking alumni hosts in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

The UArts Career Observers program is designed to provide our best students with access to valuable educational and career experiences as well as to the phenomenal alumni that are part of the UArts community. If you are interested in volunteering as an alumni host for the UArts Career Observers pilot program, please complete the following form. The student application process will begin in January 2013, and a limited number of students will be chosen to participate in the Career Observers program. If you cannot host a student during the week of Spring Break, but are interested in providing additional opportunities for UArts' students at other times of the year, please contact us at
