School of Design Portfolio Requirements

Applicants who seek direct entry admission to the School of Design should submit a portfolio of 10 to 15 examples of original work. This portfolio should include work samples that showcase your creativity, inventiveness, and creative problem-solving skills, as well as the skills and media that you have learned. It should also highlight your ability to communicate ideas: visually, in writing, and through speech, movement, or sound if applicable. Film and video work should be kept brief, 3 minute maximum recommended. A wide variety of work qualifies for portfolio submission and some of these are listed below. Two-dimensional or three-dimensional work is required but other media are welcome. Individual and collaborative work where your role is defined is accepted and applicants may choose to submit a selection of work samples from the list below or ones that are not listed.
