Title: Student Financial Services Counselor

Relationship to the Arts: I come from a very musical family and while it’s only a hobby now, I learned to play piano at a young age. I have studied photography and I have always been really into textile arts and making jewelry and gifts for friends and family. Knitting is a passion of mine and I am constantly creating all sorts of things from mittens and hats to mini UFOs.

Hobbies/Interests: Knitting, creative writing, music, bowling, travel, skiing and hanging out with my awesome pets – three cats and one western hognose snake!

Education and Background: I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in 2006 from Hood College in Frederick, Md. Before coming to UArts, I worked in the restaurant industry and as a staff writer for a small newspaper.

Additional information: I am a vegetarian and my favorite band is the Talking Heads.
