Chris Pesotski

Title / Job Description: I am the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment & Director of Student Financial Services. In that job, I lead a very talented staff of professionals who help make a UArts education a reality for as many students as possible. We work with over 3,000 families each year to develop comprehensive solutions that help make dreams possible. I'm very proud of the work that we do and I am sure that you will be too!

Relationship to the Arts: I see myself as someone who facilitates the dreams that artists have. By helping artists finance their education at the University of the Arts, I feel a very close connection to the work that they do. On a personal level, I am also a writer and photographer.

Hobbies / Interests: I am both a writer and photographer in my spare time. Many people from the University see me in Center City at lunch time with my camera. I enjoy spending a lot of time with my two children. I go to as many Phillies games as I can and I love to travel. Many of my most interesting photos come from the various places I have visited.

Education / Background: I have a bachelor's degree in English and communications from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., and a master's degree in education from Widener University in Chester, Pa. I have worked as a college basketball coach, admissions officer and financial aid administrator in my 15 years in higher education.

Additional Information: Each Friday in the Office of Student Financial Services, we do a list of four things to share. It's called the Friday Fantastic Four, and we post them in the office and talk about them. It's a great way to get to know each other a bit better. A few of my favorite topics have been:

What are your four favorite books?
What are the four most important works of art?
What are your four favorite places on Earth?
What is your favorite summer beverage?
What are the best concerts you have been to?

For the record my four favorite places on Earth are:
LaJolla, CA
Kennebunk Beach, ME
Muir Woods, CA
Duck, NC

With honorable mentions going to:
Miami, FL
New York City
Mojave National Park
Fenway Park
