Chris Morse

Title / Job Description: Loan Counselor/Counseling students on making wise decisions on taking loans out for the next four years.

Relationship to the Arts: I started acting after being cast as Colonel Pickering in "My Fair Lady" during my sophomore year of high school. And after that I was immediately hooked. I performed in high school and community theater productions in Connecticut before moving to Philadelphia in 2002 and earning my BA in theater. I've now worked many theaters around town, including Plays & Players, Flashpoint, Magic Circle and Represented Theater Company. And in 2009 I helped found "Rep Radio," a podcast covering theater and performing arts in the greater Philadelphia area.

Hobbies/Interests: First and foremost I'm a bibliophile. I will never go anywhere without a book to pull out and read. I'm a huge fan of the new and growing "art-form" that are podcasts. And, despite having no formal training, I've begun making attempts at writing plays. No word yet on how good they may be.

I've also been known to dabble in directing and even a little bit of modeling.

Education / Background: I have a BA in theater from Temple University. I've worked for UArts since September 2006, starting as a data entry assistant, becoming the scan operator for Enrollment Management, and finally joining SFS as loan counselor in July of 2010.

Additional Information: As a kid, I was a huge professional wrestling fan, and to this day I still know how to use a sleeper hold, the cobra clutch and the figure-four leglock.
