Title/Job Description: Perkins Loan Coordinator. In this position, I am responsible for monitoring, evaluating and collecting NDSL and Perkins Loans in accordance with “due diligence” procedures as required by federal regulations, and performing general administrative and accounting duties for the Perkins Loan funds in accordance with Federal Student Aid Handbook for Campus-Based Program.
 
Relationship to the Arts: In grade school I was a frequent singing contestant in interscholastic literary musical competition shows. I don’t sing anymore, however, I have passed on this talent to my son, who among other things, is a singer and songwriter. He released his first CD album of inspirational and Christian songs, which was produced by a Grammy Award-winning music producer from Nashville, Tenn. I also had a small role in a play during my college days.

Hobbies / Interests: I love to browse, admire and spend money sometimes on precious estate jewelry with beautiful designs, watch Broadway shows, listen to Joni James’ music, watch Turner Classic Movies from the 1950s and 1960s, cook Spanish recipes, and ride my bike in the summertime.

Education / Background: Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a Jesuit educational institution. I have several years' work experience in business institutions, for-profit and non-profit organizations, working in the controller’s office, accounts receivable and accounts payable departments, and finance office. Received continuing professional education credits and certificates of attendance from EARMA conferences.  Attended various ACS, Inc. workshop sessions and webcast training sessions.

Additional Information: I like to travel and have visited countries in Asia, North America and Europe. I’m looking forward to traveling to Australia and South America in the near future.
