Title / Job Description: I am the Financial Aid Assistant and am here to answer all of your general questions and to guide you through the financial aid process.  I answer the phones, but you can also IM me at uartsfinaid or email me at finaid@uarts.edu.

Relationship to the Arts: I’m a working actor. I belong to one of Philadelphia’s premier long form improv companies, Tongue & Groove, and I’m also a freelance director. My most recent production was The Importance of Being Earnest, at The Walnut St. Theater Studio 5, as part of the Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Theater Festival. I’m co-founder and executive director of Aspire Arts, a Philadelphia based non-profit arts collaborative which features a theater season, a music season, and an arts education outreach program. I’ve been teaching beginning improvisation and audition techniques in the UArts Pre-College Program for the last three years, and I’m also a private acting coach.

Hobbies / Interests: I enjoy writing short stories, reading, hunting for treasure at flea markets and antique stores, spending time with my boyfriend and our three cats, sleeping in, and hanging out at my mom’s house in Massachusetts. I have a passion for antique clothing and jewelry, and interior design. I love watching children’s movies and anything inspirational. I have an obsession with Scotland and my Scottish heritage, and I’m working to reconstruct my family tree.

Education / Background: I’m an alumni of UArts! I have a B.F.A. degree in acting, and I’m currently a graduate student at Drexel University in the M.S. program for Global and International Education.

Additional Information: My favorite actor? Robin Williams. No question. He’s a genius…Mrs. Doubtfire, Bicentennial Man, Patch Adams, The Birdcage, Fisher King, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway….need I say more?
