University of the Arts students who are enrolled in classes at USciences are welcome to use all the facilities that any non-matriculated student may use. All UArts students must have a valid USciences student ID.

Available Facilities:

Athletic Recreation Center
In August 2003, USciences opened a 78,000 square-foot athletic and recreation center that provides fitness, wellness and recreational opportunities for the University population. Known on campus as the "ARC," the center presents a unsurpassed environment for fitness conditioning, strength training, indoor jogging, multipurpose courts, aerobics studio and a three-lane 25-yard pool and Jacuzzi. There are men's and women's locker rooms, a vending and television lounge area, classroom, conference rooms, as well as equipment check-out areas.

The Bookstore, under the management of Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc., is open each business day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students may purchase textbooks, reference books, laboratory ware, magazines, apparel and sundries. Other services include special orders of books, used book resale, class ring sales and the sale of SEPTA tokens.

Dining Hall
Parkhurst Dining Services provides food service throughout the university. The Main Dining Hall in Wilson Student Center is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday during the regular academic year when classes are scheduled. There are also three satellite retail areas including Pepperazzi's Pizza in Wilson Hall, the STC Coffee Lab and Cappuccino's in Whitecar Hall, which all have on-the-go sandwiches and salads, beverages and snacks.

Breakfast and lunch are served ala carte style and include grill items, deli items, entrees, salad bar, as well as a "grab and go" area. Dinner is served as an unlimited buffet costing less than $10.00 including "all you care to eat."
