Interdisciplinary Fine Arts : Painting/Drawing
Balancing technique and personal expression, Interdisciplinary Fine Arts students who concentrate in Painting/Drawing develop a technical proficiency in the disciplines of painting and drawing, while developing agility in problem solving and fluidity in thinking and making across disciplines.
An intense and immersive studio experience is coupled with inspiration from world-class art museums in the city and exposure to a wide range of visiting artists and critics.
The structure of the curriculum educates the Fine Arts student in an environment that allows for specificity of focus, while also allowing for exploration or commingling of multiple disciplines. It deepens their cultural and intellectual understanding of the world around them, and prepares them to navigate the complexities of being an artist in today's world.
