Summer Institute : Theater : Mask + Commedia
Mask + Commedia Dell'Arte is a high-energy, physically charged, improvisational, masked performance form that encourages students to engage physically in the act of self-discovery and communication. The purpose of the course is to train you in performance style, allowing creativity, inspiration and improvisation to create meaningful original comedies within a proven dramatic structure. This course is taught by Master Instructor Aaron Cromie, who has directed numerous productions and is a Barrymore Award-winning music director. Rising freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school are welcome to apply to the one-week Mask + Commedia Intensive.
