The UArts Pre-College Summer Institute attracts students from around the world. Rising juniors and seniors in high school are welcome to apply to the Dance Program. We welcome dancers of all levels of experience.

Application Requirements
Dance Program
- Application form
- $50 nonrefundable application fee
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher (dance instructor or school teacher)
- One-page typed personal essay expressing your passion, goals and why you want to attend the program

Other Expenses
Supplies + Attire
Prior to the start of the program, a list of any supplies or necessary items, including studio and footwear that you should bring, will be available of our website. You are welcome to bring your own personal supplies from home, including laptop computers.
Activities
An optional trip to the beach at Wildwood, N.J., is an additional cost to the student. Students pay a $25 transportation fee per trip. The estimated cost of additional admission, meals and spending money is $100 per trip.
Spending + Miscellaneous Expenses
Students spend an average of $80-$100 per week on additional items including laundry, snacks, personal spending and non-required supplies.
Refund Policy
Students who are dismissed from the program will not be refunded any tuition, meal costs, housing costs or fees. Students who wish to withdraw for any reason must submit their request in writing by fax, email or post. All refunds are less nonrefundable application and registration fees, and are calculated as follows:
— 100% refund on tuition less the nonrefundable application and registration fees for withdrawal one month prior to the first class. (Written withdrawal must be received on or before before June 7, 2013.)
— 80% refund on tuition less the nonrefundable application and registration fees for withdrawal between three and one week(s) prior to the first class. (Written withdrawal must be received on or before between June 8, 2013 and June 30, 2013.)
— No refunds will be issued if withdrawal is less than 7 days prior to the first class. (0% refund if withdrawal is received on or after July 1, 2013).
