Mavis (Turley) Scully
Theater 1987

Mavis has worked in theater, regionally, at Stage 1, The Louisville Children's Theater, dinner theater and SPT in Alabama and Florida, Improv at Pleasure Island at Disney World. She spent 10 years in Seattle working at the 5th Avenue Music Theater Co, Tacoma Actor's Guild and Seattle Children's Theatre, all equity companies. She has also done several Renaissance fairs and has taught, written and directed 4 original one-act plays produced in Seattle. Her husband, Shea Scully, is a metal artist.

Andrea E. (Dinmore) Mower
Theater 1988

Andrea works with her spouse, Tim, performing magic and illusion shows for all venues (Timand Productions & Baloony Tunes and Magic). She also performs as "Sweetheart the Clown," crediting her first mime class at UArts as inspiration.

Reginald L. Flowers
Theater 1989

A co-founder of Falconworks Artists Group, Reggie recently guest starred on Law & Order episode "Darwinian" as Dr. Robert Emmerich. Original works have been produced at New Perspectives Theater and Under Starks Theater.


Richard Bradley Lyons
Theater 1991

An acting coach who has worked with the following television, film, and stage productions: The District, The Practice, Even Stevens, Malcolm and Eddie, The Visitor, High Incident, Friends, Living Single, Secret Parts, Nobody, Private Wars, Our Young Black Men, The Deepest Darkest, Home Grown, Typing Pool. Richard has also worked with the following performers: Queen Latifah, Shia LaBeauf, Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams, Erika Alexander, Duane Martin, Method Man, Eddie George, Da Brat, MC Lyte, Jamia Nash.


Kama L. Linden
Musical Theater 1992

A performer with the Shoestring Players, Kama is a singer/songwriter-performing in NY, NJ, PA, etc. Made the cover of Strong Magazine available at NY sports clubs and PSC locations. Teaches pilates, yoga and weight training at NYSC. Did a video for Bossert & Co. as well as for NYSC Xpressline.


Carol Anne Raffa
Theater 1992

Since graduation, Carol Anne Raffa has gained acting experience that spans film, television and stage from New York to California. Recently, she has had principal roles in CBS's Hack, NOVA/WGBH's Percy Julian (due out Feb 2005), the trailer "I'd Rather Be in Philadelphia" with Patrick Warburton, and the independent film Job 5. She has also been seen in many local and national commercials and has a long list of stage credits including two of her favorite performances in Beirut and Last Call for Elke Hall written by UArts theater arts alumni, Steve Salotto. You can see more of Carol Anne's work on her website, carolanne.bparker.com. Carol Anne is married to William Parker. They live in East Mt. Airy where they have purchased their first home.


Jenny Leigh (Seidl-Foster) Scudder
Theater 1992

A professional tutor and adjunct faculty at Rider University teaching reading, Jenny performs/directs in the Bordentown Players and teaches children's theater throughout NJ.


Sharon (Tyas) Shaw
Theater 1998

Currently Director of Music at the Albert E. Academy in Wilmington, DE. Sharon has done commercial work for Wawa stores. She has two sons, Bobby, 4, and Ryan, 3. Before marriage, she worked on Spin City, Double Platinum, and Woody Allen's Celebrity. Her hope is to create more music programs for children with special needs, especially children with autism.

Beth Ilyssa Tischler
Musical Theater 1999

Recently obtained a Masters in History and certificate in Museum Studies


Wynter Spears
Musical Theater, 2000

Wynter performed recently at the Bailiwick Theater in Chicago in the musical Animal Farm. She also appeared in Shoes, written by Gloria Bond Clunie, which premiered at the Tony Award winning Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago in January, 2005.

Erin Paige Brese
Theater 2001

Currently enjoying her second national tour with Chamber Theater of Boston. Upon graduation, Erin appeared in such productions as King Lear and The Tempest at The Lantern Theater, Once in a Lifetime at The People's Light and Theater Company, and in the Barrymore nominated ensemble of Over the River and Through the Woods at the Act II Playhouse, as well as various commercials, TV, and film.


Wi-Moto W. Nyoka
Musical Theater 2001

Wi-Moto has recently done a show at Bristol Riverside Theater and will be doing another at Fulton Opera House. She has a commercial running and just shot another TV pilot. She has also modeled and is looking forward to seeing her work in a gallery soon.

Katherine Lin McNamee
Musical Theatre, 2001

Katherine is a management associate at Nina Lannan Associates in New York City which handles Broadway shows and their tours. Recently these have included Thoroughly Modern Millie, Gypsy, Mamma Mia, Never Gonna Dance, Pillowman, Lennon, In my Life, and The Color Purple.

Heather Marie Kelley
Theater 2002

Heather recently toured the tri-state area in the Shakespeare Theater of NJ's educational production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena) and Twelfth Night (Viola). The production of A Midsummer Night's Dream was invited to perform at the Blackfriars in Stauton, VA as part of the Commonwealth Performing Arts Festival.


Fred Ross
Musical Theater, 2003

After finishing the '03-'04 National Tour of the musical Saturday Night Fever, Fred joined the original Las Vegas cast at the Sahara Casino, playing the principal role of Gus.


Michael Gatto
BFA Acting, 2003

Since September of 2005, Michael has been attending the Alabama Shakespeare Festival's MFA/Professional Actor Training Program.

Jackson Gay
BFA Acting, 1999
The play The Intelligent Design of Jennie Chow directed by Jackson Gay was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Drama. Nominated as finalists in this category were: Miss Witherspoon by Christopher Durang, The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow by Rolin Jones, and Red Light Winter by Adam Rapp. Gay directed The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow off-Broadway for David Mamet's Atlantic Theatre Company.

Lucas Steele is appearing in the Broadway revival of The Three Penny Opera.

Rob Tucker performed in Margaret Garner with Opera Company of Philadelphia; served as Musical Director for A...My Name is Alice, at The University of the Arts.

Pete Pryor performed in the Azuka Theatre production of The Boys' and Lantern Theater Company's Richard III.

Nako Adodoadji, Michael Newman, Ricky Whitfield all appeared in Dreamgirls at the Prince Music Theater.

Jennifer Childs appeared as Maggie in the Arden Theatre's production of Dancing at Lughnasa.

Ben Dibble and Erin Weaver starred in Delaware Theatre Company's A Murder, A Mystery, A Marriage.

Amie Shaffer understudied the role of Agnes in the Arden's Dancing at Lughnasa.

Jodi Epstein is appearing in 1812's production of Daughters of Genius, directed by alum Jennifer Childs.

Alex Hurt, Joe Aniska and Dan Robaire all appeared in Hedgerow Theatre's production of The Lion in Winter, which was stage managed by senior Seth Schwartz. Alex and Joe are also currently appearing in Hedgerow's production of Othello.

Jordan Stalsworth and Alex Hurt were featured in Flashpoint Theatre Company's production of Feed The Hype.

Michael Gatto has been attending the University of Alabama's MFA/Professional Actor Training program and this season will be performing as a company member of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.

Laura Catlaw and Jared Lentz are both appearing in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Arden Theatre.

Katelin Mercurio appeared in the Prince Music Theater's The Pirate.

Marsha Lawson and Josh Lamon are appearing in The Walnut Street Theatre's production of Godspell.

Bowman Wright plays a Sudanese refugee in Since Africa at Interact Theatre. He received rave notices for his work in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Sarah Bolt was featured in 1812 Productions' Cabaret Festival, "Perfectly Marvelous."

Kate Flannery is excited that NBC's The Office has been renewed for a third season. She's a regular cast member - Meredith - on the series, which stars Steve Carell.

KaDee Strickland Awarded Silver Star at Commencement
Actress KaDee Strickland (Theater '98) was awarded the Silver Star Alumni Award at Commencement exercises on May 17, 2006, at the Academy of Music. She has appeared in The Sixth Sense, The Grudge, Fever Pitch, Something's Gotta Give, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Woody Allen's romantic comedy Anything Else, and The Stepford Wives. She will be seen next in the Richard Gere crime thriller movie The Flock and in the television series Laws of Chance, each of which is in post-production.

UArts Acting majors perform August Wilson's "A Piano Lesson."
