The College of Performing Arts (CPA) at the University of the Arts has enjoyed a rich tradition of professional training of dancers, choreographers, instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, actors, directors, theater designers, teachers and other performing arts professionals for over 135 years.

Each academic program is designed to prepare performing arts majors for artistic careers by providing disciplined training, flexibility and rigorous practical experiences, while also emphasizing the importance of the Liberal Arts. The schools within the College of Performing Arts include:

Interdisciplinary work through artistic collaborations is encouraged throughout the College of Performing Arts and the University. We welcome you to explore more at UArts through the College's Performance Opportunities and by investigating our minors in Musical Theater and E-Music. Performing Arts degree candidates work with students in many other artistic disciplines, such as film and design, to enrich their education in the arts.
