What's the Writing for Film and Television degree program like?
Over four years, you’ll progress from writing short character biographies, to short screenplays, to full-length screenplays for film and episodic television. You'll also take courses in film history, video production, screenplay analysis and screenplay adaptations, and develop scripts for dramatic forms ranging from action-adventure, to social drama, to situation comedy. You'll also complete a senior internship in the field of media.
How will I be prepared for a career in Screenwriting?
Upon graduation, you’ll have two full-length scripts to your credit. After completing four years of intense study (and a lot of writing), you’ll graduate with a portfolio of work to shop to agents and producers.
Are faculty members practicing professionals?
Many of them are or were professionals in their areas. The director of the Writing for Film and Television program has earned two Emmy Awards.
