What is Multimedia?
Multimedia is the integration of image, sound and text into works that tell stories.

What makes Multimedia at UArts special?
From your first day as an Multimedia degree candidate, you’ll work in a highly collaborative environment with cutting edge technology. You’ll be taking small studio courses with faculty who are working professionals and want to prepare you to be leaders in interactive design and multimedia applications.

What’s the Multimedia degree program like?
The Multimedia degree program approaches media from both the creative and technical perspective. You will learn how to take advantage of new and traditional media as you design and produce advertisements, websites, kiosks and a variety of other media communciation vehicles that meet the needs of the marketplace. The flexibility of the Multimedia degree program will allow you to tailor your education toward the creative or techincal side of multimedia based on your interests and career goals. 

Is UArts Multimedia degree program right for me?
Multimedia at UArts is a program for students who want to enlarge their options, work with their minds, and learn with their hands. And, then, because the program has 24 credits of electives, you’ll be able to expand your horizons to suit your needs and satisfy your curiosity.

How will I be prepared for a career in Multimedia?
Multimedia graduates are prepared for a wide variety of careers….developing interactive websites, movies, kiosks and installations, games and products, as well as engaging in a variety of performances. You’ll graduate with highly marketable skills and you’ll be ready to work in many industries including:
• Advertising
• Web design
• Entertainment

Are faculty members practicing professionals?
In keeping with UArts tradition, all faculty in the Multimedia Department are working artists. Some run design firms; others do freelance web design. All are talented and want to help you sharpen your skills.
