Who participates in CMAC's Discovery Year?
The Discovery year is a 30-credit program offered to freshman entering the College of Media and Communication. If you're curious about a career in media or communication but not sure what major is right for you, Discovery Year will help you decide on a major. For complete information on the Discovery Year, visit the CMAC Web site.

Discovery Year in the College of Media and Communication
The Discovery Year allows you to learn more about CMAC's majors: Communication, Multimedia and Writing for Film and Television. During the year, you're introduced to the skills that are important to media makers: how to design for traditional and new media, how to write, how to produce video stories, and why media affects us in the way it does. At the same time, you also learn more about careers in the fields of media and communication so you're in a good position to make a choice of major and career.

Like all students in CMAC, you'll be involved in the full life of the college, participating in town meetings, joining the college's extracurricular activities that include working on the College's Web video, Web radio, Webzine, and print publications, and taking studio courses.
