The University of the Arts College of Media and Communication (CMAC)  is the newest college at UArts. Here, you’ll explore the many ways in which performing and visual arts, writing and narrative, new media, and new technology come together.

In CMAC, new technologies combine with the everlasting impulse to make art and share ideas. You’ll use high tech resources on a daily basis and participate in extracurricular activities such as WebRadio, WebVideo or Schwamag, our online magazine.

CMAC affords you the freedom to shape a learning experience that meets your individual needs. Faculty members are award winning documentary filmmakers and renowned multimedia artists. The faculty, programs of study, and facilities all support a broad range of interests. While earning your degree from the College of Media and Communication, you can:
• Design and build commercial web sites
• Create multimedia fine art
• Write, develop and produce ad campaigns
• Write news for the Internet
• Script motion pictures

Media and Communciation Career Possibilities
UArts College of Media and Communication graduates have landed some great jobs, including careers with MTV, Bauer Publishing and internationally-recognized advertising agencies. We encourage a strong entrepreneurial spirit -many CMAC alumni have started their own companies.

College of Media and Communciation Degree Programs
CMAC offers a Discovery Year program to freshmen interested in a degree in Media and Communciation. The Discovery Year program gives CMAC students a foundation in media and communications, and helps them select the degree program and minor study that best suits their interests and career goals.
