Animation Minor

What is Animation?
Animation is a discipline that includes everything from traditional, character-based narrative to experimental work. It is an increasingly malleable and sophisticated art form that is well-positioned to take full advantage of ongoing technological development.

How will the Animation minor benefit me?
This minor will give you understanding, hands-on experience and insight into:
• Timing and movement
• The development of drawing skills
• Instruction in the basics of film and video technology

What animation facilities are available?
The state-of-the-art animation facilities at UArts include equipment for 2D, 3D, stop-motion, and other animation techniques.

Does UArts offer a bachelor's degree in Animation? Yes.  UArts offers a BFA in Animation and a BFA in Film/Animation.
