Post-Baccalaureate Non-Degree Program
What is the philosophy behind the program?
This is an intensely focused, 30-credit course of study designed to prepare those seeking certification to teach Art K-12. The program is open to both UArts graduates and other college graduates who meet the program's requirements.
How will the program enhance my career?
The program provides a direct route to teaching. You’ll cover many of the same courses as our
Master of Arts in Art Education programs in less time. You’ll also do your student teaching.
What are the program’s requirements? • Bachelor’s degree in art
• 45 credits in studio art
• 12 credits in art history
• B or better cumulative average
• Completion of six credits in college-level math
• Completion of three credits of English composition
• Completion of three credits in American or British literature
• Successful completion of the Instructional I, PRAXIS tests
How long does it take to complete?
Three full semesters.
