Tutoring and Academic Support

    print version
Tutoring is available at no charge to all students at The University of the Arts to supplement their classroom and studio instruction.

Professional and Peer Tutors help students develop skills in reading, writing, English as a Second Language, and other academic and studio areas, including successful classroom strategies and study habits. Students seeking to improve their skills are encouraged to contact the Tutoring Coordinator to schedule weekly or periodic appointments.

Professional Tutors are full-time staff in Academic Support Services. Peer Tutors are UArts students who have completed tutor training and are qualified to tutor in their subject areas. Students are assigned to Professional Tutors or Peer Tutors by the Coordinator after an evaluation of their needs and the courses in which they are seeking assistance.
