Procedure for placing a service call

1. Have the Asset Tag Number of the machine ready.The Asset Tag Number is on the UArts barcode sticker that is located on the front of the machine, ex. AC08CPY1234

2. Call 215-717-OOPS (6677). Tell the attendant you are calling about copier issues.

3. They will ask for your Asset Tag Number, the problem you are having, contact information and the location of the machine.

4. If the machine needs toner, an OTIS staff member will deliver and install toner that we have on campus.

5. If the problem is other than toner, an OTIS staff member will visit the machine to fix, or in more serious cases, place a service call regarding your machine’s problem with the machine’s manufacturer.

NOTE: In the case that you know you will not be reachable by the technician at your location, notify the Help Desk staff so we can be the primary contact for the technician and arrange access to your machine.
