Residence Halls

UArts residence halls are mini-creative communities in the hottest section of Philadelphia. Here, musicians mingle with media makers, designers mix it up with dancers, photographers, craftspeople and writers all work collaboratively.

Where Great Ideas are Born
Your roommates and neighbors are as passionate about their art forms as you are. After long hours immersed in your discipline, you’ll turn to them for ideas, fun, relaxation, debate, and inspiration every day.

Four apartment-style residence halls (read: with kitchens!) provide students with living environments that foster a sense of independence while also offering supervision by resident assistants:

• Juniper Residence Hall offers modern, condo-style living with central air and wall-to-wall carpeting.

• Spruce Residence Hall features contemporary amenities and comfort.

• Pine Residence Hall sits on a beautiful stretch of Pine Street and offers close access to UArts main buildings.

• Furness Residence Hall, which was designed by Frank Furness in gothic revival style, is conveniently connected to Hamilton Hall.
