Film output
We have a Scitex Dolev printer that prints sheets of photographic film that are 18” x 24”. Film cannot be printed larger or smaller, it will always print this size, so students should plan accordingly. This film is used in many photographic and printmaking processes, including Non-Silver Printmaking, Offset Lithography, Plate Lithography, Polymer Plate making, and Screenprinting. Files are created in a computer program such as Adobe Photoshop or InDesign and can be separated into their CMYK values during the output process. Files will be dropped off in the Anderson Imaging Lab and then processed in a special darkroom in the Borowsky Center with a processor that is designed specifically to develop these 18"x24" sheets of film.
