* State Definition Differs from Clery Definition
Individual category crime rates can be calculated by comparing the individual category statistics to the combined full-time equivalent undergraduate and graduate student population (FTES) and the full-time equivalent employees, which is approximately 2,500. Dividing this population figure into 100,000 and multiplying the resultant figure by individual category statistics will produce the crime rate per 100,000 persons per category.
The following is a report of Crime Statistic defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistic Act, a federal statute codified at 20 U.S.C. with implementing regulations in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations at 34 C.F.R. 668.46. The following offenses are those that have been reported to the Public Safety Office and took place on University campus and its adjoining properties. They may involve University students and/or personnel or guests/private citizens who have filed a report with our Officers or other appointed personnel.
