These pages are designed to provide assistance and guidance in using technologies at UArts. Policies (listed to the right) are intended to provide instruction on the appropriate use of technologies and services. Announcements are designed to provide status reports on services and support issues managed by the OTIS staff.


  • The University will be closed from 1:00 PM Thursday, September 24 through Monday, September 28, 2015 to accommodate planning and preparations for the Papal Visit to Philadelphia. As such OTIS staff will be unavailable to assist in dealing with issues that may arise during the closure. OTIS does not expect any outages with respect to university systems or applications, but should an issue arise, please complete a HelpDesk ticket explaining the problem. While the University's wireless network will be operational, we do expect connectivity issues with commercial wireless services (Verizon, AT&T, Xfinity, etc.) due to the anticipated volume of traffic expected. The OTIS HelpDesk will resume normal activities on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. 

Network Maintenance Windows

The following dates during the 2015-2016 academic year are designated for technology related maintenance. System availability may vary during these maintenance dates.

  • September 26-27, 2015
  • December 19-21, 2015
  • March 5-7 and March 11-13, 2016
  • June 25-26, 2016
  • August 13-21 (Classroom maintenance and hardware deploy)
