Hamilton Hall, our cornerstone building on Broad and Pine Streets in Philadelphia, houses Solmssen Court, galleries, meeting rooms, computer labs, offices and the Cantina.
Take a virtual tour of Hamilton Hall.
A Center for the Creative Community
Hamilton Hall hums with the hustle and bustle of students, faculty and staff working alongside one another. Crafts students blow glass or stain it, while ceramics students throw, build and fire in their studios nearby. Sculptors experiment in the bronze and aluminum foundry before casting or carving. Art teachers from around the region gather in conference rooms for Philadelphia Arts Education Partners (PAEP) workshops. Illustrators and painters showcase in the galleries or in Solmssen Court, a large, skylit indoor courtyard where celebrations, exhibitions, career fairs, open houses and private parties are held. In computer labs, Art Education graduate students develop lesson plans. Fine artists exhibit their work and learn business management in Gallery One, the only student-run art gallery in Philadelphia.
